Deprecation of Flat Files Application
Resolved - Hello,

Talos currently provides trades, candles, and quotes data through our flat files application at https://files.coinmetrics.io/. Please note that this application will be deprecated on September 22, 2025. After this date, flat files will no longer be updated or available.

This change allows us to streamline our data delivery and focus on developing an improved data delivery system. We recognize that many users depend on these files for critical workflows. We encourage affected users to consume the data directly from our API instead. Our guides on How to Export Data and How To Use the Coin Metrics API Efficiently may be helpful. Data from our API can be exported to flat files using the format json_stream parameter or using alternative methods described in the previous links. We can discuss the pros and cons of each and are happy to walk through the specific instructions for your use case. Our team will be reaching out this week to assist with a smooth migration, should you need support.

Looking ahead, Talos plans to develop alternative data delivery options, and we will share further details as they become available. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us by replying to this email.
