We will be performing maintenance and upgrades to our primary data center (JFK1) from Thursday, November 5, through Thursday, November 12. During this maintenance window, all traffic will be routed through our DR data center in Europe (PAR1).
We do not expect any impact on our users, and will provide any applicable updates here throughout the maintenance window.

Upcoming Step Change in Exchange Supply Metrics
Resolved - We will be updating exchange addresses data today following the disclosure of additional exchange addresses. Clients should expect a significant step change increase in exchange supply values for some 1h metrics today and 1d metrics tomorrow, particularly for Binance BTC metrics, including SplyBNBNtv and SplyBNBUSD. These changes reflect the expanded address coverage, not a corresponding change in actual exchange holdings.

Updates to /market-openinterest API Response
Resolved - We have updated field "value_usd" for the Market Open Interest endpoint on our REST API to return null values (timeseries/market-openinterest). This change may affect clients that rely on "value_usd" always containing a value. We will also be extending this same logic to the WebSocket endpoint (timeseries-stream/market-openinterest). The WebSocket change is expected to be released next week.

FFIOMD HTTP and Websocket API Outage (par1)
Resolved - This incident has been resolved. From approximately 20:15 UTC to 21:57 UTC, the FFIOMD HTTP and WebSocket APIs served from the par1 data center were unavailable. The cause was a network disruption at our upstream provider’s par1 facility, triggered by excessive traffic from third-party systems. The provider isolated those systems and restored connectivity at 21:57 UTC. Services have been stable since.

The jfk1 data center was not affected and stayed fully operational throughout the incident.

Monitoring - Our network provider has made a change that restored connectivity to the par1 data center. The FFIOMD HTTP and WebSocket APIs served from par1 are reachable again. The provider is still investigating the root cause.

We are monitoring systems closely to confirm full stability. The jfk1 data center was not affected during this incident.

Update - Update: Starting at approximately 20:15 UTC, the FFIOMD HTTP and WebSocket APIs served from the par1 data center have been unavailable due to a network connectivity issue with an upstream provider. Requests and WebSocket connections to par1 may fail, time out, or deliver delayed data.

The jfk1 data center is not affected and remains fully operational for both HTTP and WebSocket APIs.

We are working with our network provider to restore par1 connectivity and will provide another update as soon as more information is available.

Investigating - Coin Metrics is currently experiencing an outage which has partially impacted access to our FFIOMD HTTP and Websocket APIs. Only the par1 data center is impacted.
